Hey Readers,

I bumped into an amazing TED Talk this week that reminded me of my mission with Careers&Things - to bring visibility and awareness to the need for non-technical skills and experiences within the Tech sector. Why does this matter? Not only is it important for you to bet on yourself and explore new opportunities in spaces that foster growth and development, but the Tech world needs us! Tech platforms need the diversity of experiences in order to drive connections and increase the meaningfulness of the platforms to us in our day to day lives. Tech needs engineers just as much as they need customer success managers, marketing and finance professionals and it’s really important that we begin to broaden the lens through which we understand the Technology opportunity.

Overall, the TED talk gave me that little extra push I needed to get even more creative about growing the audience of this newsletter in order to share these messages more widely. I hope it does something for you too.
