In the Headlines

Those on a career change journey will attest that sometimes the journey can be challenging, lonely, and riddled with uncertainty. On the days you feel this way, it’s good to have a coping mechanism that helps you remember why you started the journey and inspires you to get back up and keep going.

On the days I feel uncertain, I like to look outwards for inspiration from others who have also followed unconventional career paths and successfully made it to the other side. This week, I received that inspiration from an interview with Essence CEO Caroline Wanga, where she speaks about the challenges she experienced in her career, how she dealt with feelings of imposter syndrome, and how she finally overcame those challenges by leaning deeper into her authentic self.
